Check out the MetaFilter thread “Some problems in the world are not bullet-izable.”  Apparently, there is (thankfully) increasing resistance to trying to summarize complex military strategy in a couple of PowerPoint slides.  The linked New York Times article “We have met the enemy and he is PowerPoint” is a good read.
