Merry Christmas And May The Force Be With You!
MP3 Of The Arbitrary Time Unit
Last week I said that I was going to try and post a weekly topical or obscure MP3, and I’d still like to do that. But I’ve never been good at sticking to a regular schedule, so I won’t be calling it “MP3 Of The Week” any more; I think “MP3 Of The Moment” has a nice ring to it and better expresses my somewhat inconstant nature… ๐
Anyway, my latest entry includes a classic Christmas tune as well as its decidedly less illustrious re-recording. I present for your listening pleasure Band Aid’s 1984 single Do They Know It’s Christmasย as well as Band Aid 20’s 2004 remakeย (see my earlier post for more information about Band Aid 20). Enjoy, and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Very Rare Holiday Album

The Pioneer Anomaly
Yahoo News has some more information about The Pioneer Anomaly that czar posted about a couple of months ago. Basically, the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft have inexplicably slowed down due to unknown forces. Conventional physics states that the spacecraft should continue at a constant velocity and course unless acted on by an external force. The latest study on the Pioneer Anomaly attempts to figure out what this external force might be, with no definitive answer just yet.
