CNN reports that Gregory Hines died on Saturday of cancer. Hines was renowned as a tap dancer, musician, and actor, winning a Tony Award in 1993 for the musical “Jelly’s Last Jam,” and appearing in numerous musicals, movies, and TV shows, including White Nights, Running Scared, Tap, and Will and Grace. I am very saddened by this loss, especially because I didn’t even know that he was battling cancer. This is a sad day indeed…
