Does anyone remember the Sinclair ZX Spectrum computer? I have fond memories of the Spectrum, as it was the first computer I ever used back in the early ‘80s. It was apparently a lot more popular in the UK; I think the Commodore 64 was more popular here in the US (My next computer was the Commodore 128, big brother to the Commodore 64.). Slashdot reports on the 25th Anniversary of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum with some nice stories on the classic computer.
You may have heard about Danny DeVito’s drunken meltdown on The View a couple of weeks ago, attributed to way too many Limoncellos. If not, here’s the scoop. Anyway, apparently DeVito turned the situation into a brilliant marketing scheme, releasing his own brand of liqueur, Danny DeVito’s Premium Limoncello. I gotta give him props for this one…

The Soviet version of Winnie The Pooh (YouTube video) is very surreal, reminding me of the Eastern European cartoon shown on The Simpsons in place of Itchy and Scratchy in the episode Krusty Gets Kancelled… 😉
fieldOfView’s SPi-V gallery technology is pretty cool, allowing you to make a virtual-reality-like view out of any panoramic photo. In particular, it allows you to easily view flickr panoramic photos by inserting its URL before any photo, like this nine-photo panorama of Portree Harbor, Scotland that I shot last year (seen above).

I read somewhere that the writers from The Simpsons hate the writers from Family Guy. Could it be because of striking similarities of some scenes that The Simpsons originated (YouTube video)? In any case, I happen to like them both, although for some time now The Simpsons just isn’t what it used to be… 🙁
