10 Most Important Video Games

The New York Times reports (registration possibly required, link may die, sorry…) that Henry Lowood, curator of the History of Science and Technology Collections at Stanford University, announced a “game canon” at the annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco:

  • Spacewar! (1962)
  • Star Raiders (1979)
  • Zork (1980)
  • Tetris (1985)
  • SimCity (1989)
  • Super Mario Bros. 3 (1990)
  • Civilization I/II (1991)
  • Doom (1993)
  • Warcraft series (beginning 1994)
  • Sensible World of Soccer (1994)

It’s a pretty decent list, but I think that they definitely missed some good ones; what do you think?

Borat In 30 Seconds (reenacted by bunnies)

I finally saw the Borat movie over the weekend. Although there were some really hilarious moments, I was slightly disappointed overall. I think it’s mostly because it’s hard to sustain that kind of humor over an entire movie, even if it doesn’t even clock in at an hour and a half. I think bite-sized chunks from Da Ali G Show still rock… 🙂

Anyway, check out Angry Alien’s latest production, Borat In 30 Seconds (reenacted by bunnies).
