| Famed caricaturist Al Hirschfeld died yesterday at the age of 99. His “graceful, fluid caricatures captured the essence of performers from Charlie Chaplin to Jerry Seinfeld,” and often included hidden tributes to his daughter Nina with the letters “NINA” inserted into the artwork as hair, folds in clothes, or other details.
