Alexander Ovechkin’s Amazing Goal
If you haven’t yet seen Washington Capitals rookie Alexander Ovechkin’s amazing goal from last Monday’s game against Phoenix, you’re missing out. The Washington Post reports that superlatives are (deservedly, IMHO) flying:
Bill Clement, studio host for NBC’s and OLN’s NHL coverage [effuses] “Oh my god. It’s one of the greatest goals of all time. We are starting to talk about him for the Hart Trophy,” given to the league’s most valuable player.
Ovechkin is a shining star on a pretty mediocre Caps team this year, but this goal is just mind-boggling. Check out the embedded Google Video below.
