In celebration of the one year birthday of Google Earth, Google has released version 4. Among other new features, this new version includes a “streamlined” UI and a four-fold increase in global coverage. It is definitely worth the free download.
Movie and TV actor Robert Donner died last week at the age of 75 from a heart attack. Donner was perhaps best known for his character Exidor in Mork and Mindy (seen at right), but he played many other roles in TV shows and movies, including The Waltons, Bonanza, and Cool Hand Luke.
The Internet Movie Cars Database is “one of the most complete lists on the web about vehicles seen in movies,” thoroughly cataloging by make and model and classifying them according to how central a role they played in the movie.

One of the best Simpsons couch gags I’ve seen in a long time is this one (direct link to QuickTime video) that parodies the Powers Of Ten site. Deep. 😉
One of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits of all time is Men’s Synchronized Swimming (Google Video), starring Harry Shearer, Martin Short, and Christopher Guest. 🙂
