Santa’s Toy Hunt in Google Earth
Google Earth Blog reports on Santa’s Toy Hunt and Santa Tracker in Google Earth:
Santa has hidden a treasure trove of presents somewhere in Google Earth (actually, it was a few of his elves, but you get the idea) . Every day from December 12th until Christmas Eve, a clue will appear outside Santa’s North Pole workshop which, if you can solve it, will lead you to a toy hidden in a Google Earth satellite image. And every day, the location of the previous day’s toy will be revealed.
To play, make sure you’ve downloaded Google Earth version 4 if you haven’t already…

Peter Boyle Dead At 71
CNN reports that actor Peter Boyle died yesterday at the age of 71 from multiple myeloma and heart disease. Although Peter Boyle was perhaps best known for his role of “The Monster” in Young Frankenstein (check out a video clip of the classic tapdancing scene) and more recently as Frank Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond, his TV and movie career spans almost 40 years. This is quite sad news… 🙁
