Stephen Colbert’s “not factual” hashtagging
Senator Jon Kyl’s lie misstatement that abortion is “well over 90% of what Planned Parenthood does” was helpfully clarified as “not intended as a factual statement” by his office after it was pointed out that the figure is closer to 3%.
In response, Stephen Colbert began posting Tweets with the hashtag #NotIntendedToBeAFactualStatement, including [non]facts like “Citing religious reasons, Jon Kyl refuses to utter the number 8,” and “Legally, Jon Kyl cannot be within 100 yards of Helen Mirren,” among many others. Hilarious.
