Unfinished John Hughes Script?
This great article on John Hughes has a bunch of great recollections from Brat Pack actors and others. One interesting tidbit from Molly Ringwald, though:
When The Breakfast Club ended, he started writing a script called Lovecats, because I played him that song by the Cure… Anyway, I played this song for John, and he started writing a script, and he gave me a mix tape of what the soundtrack was gonna be. Which was pretty much Dave Brubeck, with the last song by Bob Dylan.
I thought I heard a rumor that this script might actually get made into a film, but maybe the rumor just involved the existence of the script. As much as I’d love to see another John Hughes movie, for me it just wouldn’t be the same outside of the ‘80s milieu in which it was undoubtedly grounded…
