In Case You Were Wondering of the Day:<\/strong> From Hypebot<\/a>: \u201cIn the beginning, Daniel [Mustard] was a homeless alcoholic street musician. He came into the Opie & Anthony studios for their annual Homeless Shopping Spree. In passing, he said that he was a musician. The studio staff, being curious and having no idea what to expect, found him a guitar. Reportedly, he performed an original song that stunned the entire staff. Then they asked him to play a cover.\u201d<\/p>\n

The YouTube video of Mustard performing Radiohead\u2019s \u201cCreep\u201d went viral overnight, and changed everything. He entered a halfway house as part of a rehabilitation program and was offered a record deal by Story Records, which recently released his debut EP<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore appearing on the Opie and Anthony Show, I never gave any thought about becoming a star,\u201d Mustard recently told Asheboro Magazine<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI still don\u2019t think of it much, but it seems closer now than it did before, and it\u2019s keeping me motivated to stay off the streets.\u201d<\/p>\n
