{"id":14075,"date":"2004-07-07T14:47:00","date_gmt":"2004-07-07T14:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.driko.org\/blog\/2004\/07\/07\/worst-song-ever\/"},"modified":"2004-07-07T14:47:00","modified_gmt":"2004-07-07T14:47:00","slug":"worst-song-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.driko.org\/blog\/2004\/07\/07\/worst-song-ever\/","title":{"rendered":"Worst Song Ever?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At a concert last week <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDSUB040406101708462816&amp;sql=B3ad8vwrva9rk\" target=\"_blank\">Aimee Mann<\/a> (formerly of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDSUB040406101708462816&amp;sql=Bbe831vsjzzca\" target=\"_blank\">&lsquo;til tuesday<\/a> fame) and her band declared that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/gossip\/26611.htm\" target=\"_blank\">the worst song ever is &ldquo;Ebony And Ivory&rdquo;<\/a> by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, narrowly beating out &ldquo;Lady In Red&rdquo; by Chris DeBurgh.  The song made #10 on a recent widely-circulated <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blender.com\/articles\/article_786.html\" target=\"_blank\">list compiled by <i>Blender<\/i> magazine<\/a> (their #1 was &ldquo;We Built This City&rdquo; by Starship).  I&rsquo;m somewhat indignant about a couple of the &#8217;80s songs they included on their list, although I guess I&rsquo;ll eventually have to admit that some of them deserve to be on there.
