Rumors were rampant about how Google&rsquo;s spartan search interface would be affected by this deal, but Google has sought to assuage fears in a <a href=\"http:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/12\/about-aol-announcement.html\" target=\"_blank\">statement on the AOL deal on its Official Blog<\/a>.
