In the wake of Tom Petty&rsquo;s latest album, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdnow.com\/cgi-bin\/mserver\/SID=588021052\/pagename=\/RP\/CDN\/FIND\/album.html\/itemid=1596293\" title=\"CDNow link to the album\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Last DJ<\/i><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/news\/newsarticle.asp?nid=16913&amp;cf=399\" target=\"_blank\">Rolling Stone&rsquo;s interview with Tom Petty<\/a> shows that he is not afraid to speak his mind.  The title track of the song has apparently been banned from some radio stations because it is seen as a slap in the face; the track laments the fact that DJs no longer have any freedom and are forced by corporations to play canned playlists.
